Product information "F-COD C5 Fused Clip On Device"
The thermal image clip-on device for existing night vision devices creates an image overlay and thus offers the advantages of both technologies combined in one device of the existing residual light) as perceived during the day. Thanks to the additional thermal imaging channel, objects that stand out from their surroundings due to their temperature can be perceived much earlier and even without residual light being present.
The thermal image clip-on device for existing night vision devices creates an image overlay and thus offers the advantages of both technologies combined in one device. The residual light amplifier enables the user to move freely in the dark and perceive his surroundings (depending on the output of the tube and the residual light available) as during the day. Thanks to the additional thermal imaging channel, objects that stand out from their surroundings due to their temperature can be perceived much earlier and even without residual light being present.
Even at a distance of 50 m, it is extremely difficult to detect people who are not moving in the forest using residual light intensifiers. Especially when they are leaning against trees or bushes. The superimposition of the residual light image with the thermal image means that the clear temperature differences between buildings and vegetation compared to body temperature can also be used as a detection source. The person is thus clearly recognizable even at greater distances.
Fusion Technology
With a pure residual light amplifier it is necessary to switch on an infrared brightener under bad conditions. This allows the user to be detected very easily. This risk is minimized with fusion technology.
The sensitive detector with a resolution of 640 x 512 offers a very high level of detail and thus an increased range. With numerous modes such as Black/Hot, Target Enhancement and Outline, the user can optimally adapt the device to a wide variety of situations. As an economical supplement, the F-COD can be adapted to almost all night vision devices.

With an optionally available eyepiece, the IEA F-COD attachment can also be used as a hand-held thermal imaging device. The F-COD is also available with the suffix "EB" (External Battery) with an external battery compartment.
The F-COD and F-COD EB is delivered in a sturdy hard case. A battery cap for a 3V rechargeable battery of the type 17335, 8500 or 18650 and a battery cap for 3V CR123 batteries are included in the scope of delivery for the power supply. There is no assembly included. This must be ordered separately and device-specifically.
A CR123 3V battery is already included in the set.
